Un vaisseau spatial ayant apparence humaine s'échoue près de la Statue de la liberté à New York. Habité par un équipage d'une centaine d'êtres miniatures, cet étrange engin est commandé par un extra-terrestre qui s'intéresse à une jolie terrienne.
Cette comédie, où un extra-terrestre développe une amitié avec un enfant, où un robot accumule les gaffes et où les bons sentiments finissent par triompher, multiplie les effets spéciaux et rappelle d'autres productions du même genre.
